President and Chief Executive Officer

Dave Heimbach

Dave is the president and CEO of Metronet, leading the company's emergence as the leading privately held fiber-to-the-home company. Prior to joining Metronet in 2021, Dave held leadership roles at Shentel, Rise Broadband and Cincinnati Bell. He holds degrees from the J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communications Technologies at Ohio University and has completed the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business Executive Program.

Chief Financial Officer

Sarah Overbaugh

Sarah was named Metronet's Chief Financial Officer in 2023. Apart from her daily management of the company's finances, she spearheaded Metronet's pioneering $2.6 billion asset-backed securitization and orchestrated the company's acquisition of Vexus Fiber. Sarah's leadership in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and treasury has played a key role in driving the company's strategic objectives forward.

Executive Vice President, Corporate Development

Cole Hawks

Cole, serving as executive vice president of corporate development at Metronet, is responsible for leading strategic planning, market selection, and government relations, drawing on more than 25 years of senior leadership experience. Previously, Cole co-led operations at Kentucky Data Link (KDL), where he played a pivotal role in its expansion into a super-regional fiber network serving 22 states. Cole's diverse background includes advisory roles for the University of Kansas School of Business and a national donor-advised fund, where he has contributed to impactful strategic initiatives and charitable giving efforts.

Executive Vice President, Residential Markets

Willy Pirtle

Willy serves as the executive vice president of residential markets at Metronet, where he directs sales, marketing, and product development. He is recognized for his expertise in brand creation, team building, and successful market and product launches, most recently with Shentel. Willy played a pivotal role in the growth and eventual sale of Shentel's regional wireless business to T-Mobile for $1.95 billion in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia.

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

John M. Campbell

John oversees legal and regulatory affairs for both Metronet and Metronet Holdings, leveraging 20 years of expertise in the communications industry. Prior to his role as executive vice president and general counsel at Metronet, John held senior legal positions at a national wireless broadband provider and gained valuable experience at Sprint Communications Company and its affiliates, focusing on legal, real estate, and regulatory matters. A graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, John’s leadership ensures strategic growth and compliance across all operations of Metronet.

Executive Vice President, Outside Plant

Kyle Hamilton

Kyle leads the construction of Metronet's fiber optic infrastructure as the executive vice president of outside plant, leveraging more than 16 years of leadership experience in field operations at Insight, Time Warner, and Charter. Prior to his current role, Kyle spearheaded Metronet's field operations and played a pivotal role in launching Metronet University, focusing on training and collaboration to enhance customer-focused operations. Kyle graduated from the executive program at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Chief Product & Technology Officer

Craig Cowden

Craig joined Metronet in 2024 as the company's chief product and technology officer, assuming responsibility for network design, engineering, operations, product development, and IT. His background includes key roles at Charter Communications, Sprint, and Bright House Networks, where he served as chief network officer.
